What began as a routine deworming exercise in Butebo District, ended in tragedy after 23 children were mistakenly given epilepsy medication instead of deworming tablets, resulting in the death of one child and the hospitalisation of 15 others.
The incident occurred on October 28 at Kabwangasi Health Centre III during an integrated Child Health Day (CHD) outreach in Buwase Cell, Kabwangasi Town Council.
