South Africa – 13th December, 2016: A motorcyclist who was declared dead at the scene of an accident was found alive in a mortuary fridge the next day. 

A worker discovered Msizi Mkhize was still breathing when his family arrived at the morgue in Durban, South Africa to identify his body. 

Los Angeles, US – 6th February, 2017: A California federal judge on Wednesday ordered the federal government to pay $4.9 million in a medical negligence suit accusing a military hospital of implanting an IUD birth control device in a woman without detecting that she was pregnant, resulting in permanent injuries to her baby. 

Sedgley, UK – 28th February, 2017: Wayne Evans developed an abnormal growth that turned into a deadly bowel tumour – but he had no idea the disease was growing inside him for three years.

The 41-year-old was sent for tests in 2010 after complaining of severe stomach cramps. But after hearing nothing back from his GP, he assumed his results were normal.
